StratEcon is a specialised applied economics consultancy with more than three decades of experience. StratEcon undertakes a wide range of economic analysis and economic modelling. We have an excellent reputation of delivering thorough and comprehensive analysis of complex issues. StratEcon prides itself on finding innovative and creative solutions to complex economic problems. We work closely with clients to ensure the analysis and output is tailored as much as possible to the needs of the project.  The company is based in Cape Town, South Africa but has undertaken projects throughout Southern Africa and as far afield as the United Kingdom and Russia.

Economic modelling is the core competency of StratEcon. Where numbers are available to understand and define a problem the members of StratEcon will find a solution to that problem. StratEcon performs formal economic analysis following international best practice. This includes economic cost benefit analysis; macroeconomic analysis; microeconomic analysis, econometric regression analysis and computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling. The company undertakes rigorous research to inform strategies and policies.

 

One of the unique advantages of StratEcon in the field of economic analysis is the production of user-friendly reports. Often economic reports are produced which are so technical as to be of little use to the client. StratEcon strives to produce reports that can be used by clients both strategically and for marketing purposes. The StratEcon reports can be transposed directly to other documents. StratEcon also works with clients to produce press releases and make public presentations.
