Kim's Story
Kim is a strategic business leader with a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) in Marketing from the University of Cape Town and over 20 years' experience driving transformation across sales, operations and technology within the energy sector. She began her career in brand management at Woolworths Financial Services before transitioning to the non-profit sector as Fundraising Manager at the Desmond Tutu Peace Centre, where she honed her stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
Kim has built a strong corporate track record through progressive leadership roles at Chevron and Astron Energy, where she gained extensive experience in managing multi-national operations, leading regional change initiatives, and driving sales and operational efficiency. At Chevron, she held key positions including Africa Pakistan Card Marketing Coordinator and Global Card Operations Efficiency Coordinator, later advancing to National Sales Manager for Key Accounts and Fleetcard, where she led teams and managed major corporate relationships. At Astron Energy, she combined technical and commercial expertise, leading SAP HANA and Commerce Cloud implementations as IT Team Lead, and later modernising B2B sales as National Sales Enablement Manager through the integration of HubSpot CRM and performance-driven sales metrics.
Kim has enhanced her leadership capabilities through the Women in Leadership Programme at UCT's Graduate School of Business and holds additional qualifications in project management. Her expertise spans sales pipeline management, digital transformation, change management and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
